Digital and Internet Marketing 

This assignment has been one of my favorite that I have completed. I had to identify a company that had four user experience errors on their website. I then had to create Google Ads for that company followed by analyzing the webpage. I then determined that a smaller boutique would be better off focusing on PPC (pay per click) rather than SEO (search engine optimization) when it came to digital and internet marketing.

I learned how to use Google Adwords to create campaigns that target customers using keywords to identify their needs. I analyzed the company's demographic, online presence and competitors in order to decide which marketing strategy was best for the company's growth. From this project I expanded on my experience using analytics to make business decisions.

Businesses Give Back

This is a group project from my Business Communication course. We were told to select a company and come up with a philanthropy project for them to work on. After researching, my group decided to use Mary Kay and Genesis Women's Shelter. We found that Mary Kay had previously partnered with various shelters in order to raise awareness on domestic violence. We created a written proposal as well as delivered a presentation.

 

This project was very detailed, so proper communication and time management were  key factors for my group. It taught me that face to face interaction is my preferred form of communication, however, it is important to be able to adapt and learn how to communicate through other methods that better suit team members.

Market Analysis

For this group project, we looked at Francesca's Boutique and had the opportunity to demonstrate our comprehension of the material covered in the class. Francesca's was facing a significant decline in sales and brand recognition. In order to address Francesca's declining sales, my group and I analyzed market trends as well as product, price, and placement strategies, along with a full SWOT analysis. We also went further into brick and mortar locations, financials and sales/expense budgeting to provide a recommended solution.

Through this project, I learned about the complexities of creating a rebranding effort for a company facing a decline. Another major takeaway from this project was the importance of asking questions and taking charge to deliver results.
