Interests
Friends and Family
Moving across the country by myself when I was 18 years old taught me a lot. I realized just how important family and friends are and how much of an impact they have on your life. That being said, my loved ones are the most important thing to me. Whether we are traveling, playing games or sports, or cooking dinner together, we are always having a good time.
Volleyball
At the age of 10, I discovered my love for volleyball and I've have been playing ever since. I grew up playing travel and school volleyball and wasn't ready to give it up when I went to college. I played club volleyball at ECU where I was captain. After moving to Dallas, I joined multiple leagues and recently started playing sand volleyball.
Traveling
Traveling is another hobby of mine. I love being immersed in new cultures and seeing how other people live. Traveling has allowed me to get outside my comfort zone and experience new and exciting things. Every city and country is so different and has so much to offer. One day, I hope to travel to Santorini, Greece.
Volunteering & Giving Back
Over the last couples years I have found another passion - giving back and volunteering. It started in 2015 when my sorority held many events to benefit our philanthropy, Make-A-Wish. More recently I have participated in Comet's Giving Day, where we planted trees in local neighborhoods. I also volunteered as a marketing specialist for Ivan Carter Wildlife Conservation Alliance, a non-profit focused on animal conservation. My latest volunteering experience has been with Streetside Showers, an organization providing hot showers and hygiene care for homeless people around north Texas.
